Wanka informed that the distribution exercise was carried out by the high-powered committee set up by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, under the leadership of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji (Dr.) Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu and the Deputy Governor of the state, Mohammad Auwal Jatau.

She said that her ministry was mandated by the committee to spear head the distribution exercise across the entire state using 12 beneficiaries per polling unit across the 323 wards of the State.

Wanka said that since the commencement of the distribution programme, the ministry, agencies and departments under it have deployed human resources to actualise the exercise adding that it had done that to best of its ability under the guidance of the Emir of Bauchi and the Deputy Governor.

“In the course of the distribution exercise, myself and the entire staff of the ministry have travelled round the entire LGAs of the State,” the Commissioner disclosed

Wanka then used the occasion to expressed the gratitude of Committee to Governor Bala Mohammed for providing all the necessary logistics needed for the successful implementation of the exercise.

While appreciating the support of the support of the Governor, the Commissioner also acknowledged the key roles played by the five Emirate councils in the State in the successes recorded during the distribution exercise across the State.

The Commissioner further registered her gratitude to LG Caretaker Committee Chairmen for their proactive stance in providing the enabling environment that enhanced the distribution exercise in their LGAs.

“Worthy of mention too was the role of security operatives that had been with the distribution team throughout the exercise, ensuring rancour-free implementation”.

“It is heart-warming to acknowledged the joy and happiness demonstrated by beneficiaries throughout the State. There were so many glowing testimonies from beneficiaries and other key stakeholders”.

“My speech will not be complete without, once again, expressing my personal gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and the Committee for entrusting this Humanitarian exercise to my ministry. This has really enhanced my capacity for future engagements with the citizens of Bauchi State, especially the less privileged and vulnerable in our rural areas”, the Commissioner concludes her address.
