ASHH Foundation Rewards Staff with Plots of Land

By Bashir Hassan Abubakar
In what can be described as unprecedented act of reward incentive initiative, in recognition of commitment, dedication and support for the growth of an organisation, a Bauchi based civil society organisation, Attah Sisters Helping Hand (ASHH) Foundation has given out plots of land to three of it’s staff as appreciation for their hard work that had contributed for the development of the Organisation.
The documents of the land were handed over to the beneficiaries in a brief ceremony held at the office of ASHH Foundation on Monday 11th December, 2023 in Bauchi.
Comfort Ene Attah, Executive Director of ASHH Foundation said the gesture is the Foundation’s little way of appreciating excellence amongst it’s staff.
While calling on the beneficiaries of the plots of land to redouble their efforts in taking ASHH Foundation to higher level of success in the coming years, Ene Attah also urged other staff of the organisation to emulate the beneficiaries zeal and commitment in carrying out tasks assign to them.
“I want to say without any fear of contradiction that dedication and hard work does not hide. If you do your task with zeal, passion and commitment, it shows, even when no one is watching”.
“As you put in your best for the growth of ASHH Foundation, just know that it is not the Organisation alone that thrives, you also thrive through self building in the process”.
The ED who used the occasion to go memory lane on how ASHH Foundation started with nothing, said that the money used for the purchase of the plots of land was proceeds from a rice farm investment made by the ASHH Foundation three years ago.
She further said that, with determination, hard work and perseverance the organisation has recorded appreciable level of success amongst it’s peers, erecting it’s office structure and also strengthening it’s organizational structure through implementation of donor founded projects and activities, recruitment and mentoring vulunteers.
The staff that were rewarded with the parcels of land within Rafin Tambari area within the state capital includes: Kingsley Yalling, Program Manager , Victor Ekunode, Manager, Finance and Sule Joseph Onuche, M&E manager while Rita Samuel, M&E Assistant will be given cash.
Appreciating the management of ASHH Foundation on behalf of the beneficiaries, program manager Kingsley Yalling said that in their wildest dreams they have never thought that a day would where such honour and recognition will be accorded them.
He said that such reward is rare amongst CSOs and that it will spur for more productivity in the coming years.
He also appreciated other staff of the foundation pointing out that, “without our collective efforts the successes being recorded by ASHH Foundation could have been possible”.
There were goodwill messages from other CSOs, congratulating the beneficiaries and commending ASHH Foundation for huge show of appreciation.
