Northern Youths Association of Nigeria has commended the gallantry of the General Officer Commanding the 3 Division/ Commander Operation Safe Haven, Jos, Major-General A. E Abubakar.

President of the youths association, Ambassador Godiya T. Adams Bogoro in a press release issued in Bauchi on Sunday, noted that Major General Abubakar has performed tremendously well since his redeployment as the GOC 3 Division/Commander Operation Safe Haven in Plateau state.

Bogoro, who observed Abubakar’s relentless efforts to restore peace in Plateau state passed a vote of confidence on his ability.

He.recalled that the GOC recently organized a symposium for religious leaders in Plateau, whom he described as key contributors in cementing peace in the society.

“The GOC has also significantly improved the civilian-military relationship in Plateau state. He similarly donated food items worth millions of naira to the victims of insurgency in Mangu local government area and some parts of Riyom local government in the recent attack in the state.”

“Peace has been restored on parts of the Plateau. The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria is very proud of Major General Abubakar.”

Bogoro assured that the association will continue to partner with the military to ensure that the relative peace the state now enjoys is maintained.

The association explained that Abubakar has never for once taken the welfare of officers and men of his command for granted, as he was doing everything possible to provide them with an enabling environment to operate.

The association president further recalled that Abubakar  recently took military officers injured during the recent attack by bandits to Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) where he paid for their full medical treatment.
