Pilgrims commend Gov Bala Mohammed for last year’s success.

Pleased by the numerous successes recorded during the last year’s obligation in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia based on fair service delivery, no fewer than 100 pilgrims commended the Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohamed for having a credible representative Imam Abdurrahman Idris as the Executive Secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Through the support of the governor, the Board consolidated multiple successes in the sacred obligation within the stipulated period of the spiritual Ibadat and visitation as enshrined by Prophet Mohamed Saw to those opportune during their healthy time of life.
Leader of the Group Abdullahi Sadiq, thanked, the Governor for picking the right knowledgeable person to support his administration as well as contribute to the development of Islam and the people of Bauchi state mindful of any inclination.
Sadiq further observed that last year’s pilgrimage exercise was his fifth time of performing the Ibadat, “but to be honest, the courtesy, compliment and preferential treatment we received was beyond comment,” he said.
“We enjoyed the best meal in comparism, best accommodation, transporting vehicles and support of money to aid our activities just to mention a few.
“Because of the credible leadership we were able to visit many historical places in an ordered manner unlike in the past where nepotism was shown and displayed.
“In terms of medical personnel and Hajj guides, it was a remarkable feat as the Executive secretary stood firm and bold to ensure hitch-free services to all and sundry”
Affirming his thought, this medium in a media chat with Imam Abdulrahman, the Executive Secretary, eulogized with the people of the state especially Governor Bala Mohamed for the maximum support he rendered to the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
According to him, last year especially the state got additional allocated seat from the average 2900 to 3000 from the first instance to 3132 overall slots allocated by the National Hajj Commission based on the state performance of the previous year.
“This is a commendable landmark, and amazingly, we had no any case of default or misconduct,” he said
On the steps taken to ensure success, Abdulrahman said, last year, the Board embarked on local government tour ion consultation to clerics, traditional ruler and relevant stakeholders to starting teaching intending pilgrims on how best they can perform the sacred obligation and how to avoid misbehaving in the Holy Land as ambassadors of Bauchi state.
“Similarly, I must to commend Governor Bala Mohamed who has never on any instance rejected the board’s request in terms of advice and funding its services for the betterment of the pilgrims.
“That makes us to introduce the train the trainee as an avenue to a shred division of responsibility and better result during the sacred period,” the Executive Secretary said.
On the recent, pronouncement by the National Hajj commission that this year’s intending pilgrims should set to deposit the sum of 4.5 million naira, Imam Abdulrahman said, the board would make its position on known at appropriate time for possible depositing amount which could be either 2.5 million or above that for the first instance while similar strategy would be implore to various to various local to star depositing at the pay point area.
