Incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed of the People’s Democratic Party has continued to record successes over his opponents in the March 18,2023 Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections in Bauchi State.

Latest official resultsi show that the governor has won in Kirfi, the local government of former Minister Bello Kirfi, who vowed to stop him.

Kirfi was stripped of his title of Waziri Bauchi by the incumbent governor who earlier restored the title to him after his predecessor Mohammed Abubakar removed him.

the Octogenarian, who was instrumental to bringing Governor Mohammed to power in 2019, vowed the governor would be removed the way he was brought into power by him.

Angered by his removal as Waziri by Governor Mohammed, Kirfi teamed up with former Speaker Yakubu Dogara, former Governor Isa Yuguda among other prominent politicians in the state to actiualise his plan to stop the governor’s reelection.

But that desire may not come to fruition as the incumbent governor has demonstrated he is the man of the people having warmed his way into the hearts of the electorate with a first tenure performance that has been widely acknowledged as excellent especially in the area of infrastructural development.

The governor demonstrated his popularity after he defeated Dogara in Bogoro, the former Speaker’s local government area in results announced earlier today,

Governor Mohammed has extended that victory to Kirfi, the local government area of the embattled former Waziri.
