2023 election: Bauchi Gov optimistic on Atiku’s victory… impressed with large voters turn out

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed optimism that the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will win the 2023 Presidential election. election.
Atiku, along with Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) are the three favourites to win the election.
Speaking with journalists at his Bakin Dutse 008 polling unit in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state shortly after casting his vote, Mohammed said he was confident that Atiku would defeat Tinubu and Obi to become the next President of Nigeria.
Governor Mohammed, who was in company with his wife Aisha Bala Mohammed, said he was impressed with the large turn out of voters saying the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) needs to be commended for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
” I am grateful to God our maker for what is going on so far after the initial apprehension as to the peace and harmony of the 2023 general election,” he said.
“The electoral umpire INEC is doing well. I can see the youth, the women, everybody is calm here in my village and there is no fesr. I think our democracy is growing.in a manner that they will appreciate or molestation their universal surfrage, their freedom to vote “
The governor called on political leaders to summon the will to ensure that people are allowed to vote without any hinderance or molestation.
While calling on voters in the state to continue to be orderly and maintain peace during and after the voting exercise, Governor Mohammed urged INEC to ensure that the election is free, fair and credible
