How To Find Purpose As A Stay At Home Mother

There are a lot of misconceptions about stay at home mothers.

Some people see stay at home mothers as lazy, while others see them as having everything all figured out. There are those that also think that being a stay at home motber is easy  and a walk in the park.

Based on my experience as a SAHM I found out that it is really easy for a SAHM to lose their sense of purpose, at a point I feel so sad and there are times I feel extremely embarrassed to say I am a stay at home mother.

As the journey went on I began to research on ways to go, my irritation became my motivation.

I began to strive on ways to become a more productive woman.

To enable me to become the best version of myself.

From my research and experience I got to know about different businesses a SAHM can do to earn from the comfort of their homes.

I wrote an E. Book which was launched on the lnternational Women’s Day (IWD) March 8, 2022,  which has helped quite a number of women  start, build and grow profitable businesses both online and offline.

As wives and Mothers the role we play are endless  and are very important

We help in shaping, grooming, educating and training our kids.

We help with the smooth runnings of the home

We help create a safe haven for our families with a very solid foundation.

Things  l do from the comfort of my home which have helped me discover myself, find purpose and clarity as a SAHM are as follows.

*Reading:

I love to read books, self help books, personal development books, spiritual books.

SAHM should make it a habit to read daily. Reading helps to  widen your scope of knowledge, makes you more knowledgeable and aware, helps you to become a better reader, speaker and writer.

*Readers are Leaders*

When I read it takes my mind away from all forms of evil thoughts.

So i advise a mother to utilise some leisure hours to relax and read , it helps too

*Have a to do list

Having a to do list helps you to become more productive and time conscious.

I try to plan my day ahead or in the morning and I try to achieve even not all but most of them before the day runs out.

Working from home, schooling from home, running a business from home requires discipline.

*Being Part of a Productive women community online/offline:

This helps a lot. It gives you all the push you need as a woman, you see women doing commendable things which would motivate you to do better.

I belong to different Women Entrepreneurship groups, Reading clubs, Humanity Groups, Religious Groups, Accountability Groups all this and more have shaped me into becoming a better woman.

*Set Goals and work towards them

Your goals should be smart

S:Specific

M:Measurable

A:Achievable

R:Realistic

T:Time bound

*Self Affirmations:

Tell yourself positive words everyday

It keeps you going

It helps you grow

It helps you avoid self-doubt

It helps you become confident and audacious

It makes you bold

All this and more are things I do that keeps me going as a SAHM. I now love it so much that I feel so happy doing all of this and helping other women who are going through this process discover purpose.

It all has to do with you as a woman and your mindset.

Fall in love with your new role, enjoy it and make meaning out of it

The kids won’t be babies forever

The internet has made life easier for everyone to learn a skill, start up a home based business, bring them online.

Get busy with time you will get so busy from home that you won’t have to worry about your inability to secure a 9-5 job.

As a SAHM I am an Author, a Business coach, a content creator, a Graphics designer and a social media manager.

If  l can do it, you too can.

To your Success and Growth
