New Year : KAN showcases  Mohammed’s achievements, Backs Gov for re-election

A Group under the auspices of  Kaura Ambassadors Network, KAN, has urged residents of Bauchi State to support the State Governor Bala  Mohammed’s re-election bin in the forthcoming election.

This is contained in a New Year Message to the Governor and  people of the state signed by Director General  of KAN, Barrister Muslim Maigari, made available to Journalists on Sunday in Bauchi.

The Group appreciated God and  congratulated the people of the state and  Governor Mohammed for transiting into 2023 successfully and peacefully.

Maigari said Mohammd’s track record of achievement was the main basis of their call for the him to continue his good works across all facets and sectors of the state.

He said the group’s desire to support Mohammed for a second term in office was borne out of the fact that the Governor had been working tirelessly to transform all parts of the State in line with his campaign promises.

“Governor Mohammed’s tremendous achievements, especially in terms of infrastructure, agriculture, education, reforms, local government autonomy as well as health care service development are unprecedented,” he said.

“Through astute diversity management, the governor welded disparate emotional strata of Bauchi into a united front that is preoccupied with breathtaking infrastructural projects.

“Bala Mohammed has touched almost every part of the state with developmental projects. It is on record that he constructed, renovated, upgraded and fully equipped 323 primary healthcare facilities in just two years.

“He also built and renovated thousands of schools across the state to boost education while offering scholarships to numerous students. 

‘The distribution of over 1,500 tricycles and 154 commercial buses has created jobs as well as aided transportation across the state. The provision of agricultural inputs has lessened the burden on farmers, among others numerous to mention,” he said 

“As it is, many landmark projects which will totally transform the landscape of the State are ongoing including construction of roads linking the state metropolis among others.

The DG said it was gratifying that Governor Mohammmed was constantly coming up with policies and projects aimed at putting the State on a world class pedestal gears towards sustainable economic growth and development.

“We believe that Governor Mohammmed has done so much for the State and the only thing we can do is to support him to build and complete the Bauchi of our dream. We are calling on all citizens of Bauchi state to give him their full support,” he said.

He said the group has sensitised and created an awareness campaign to Bauchi State residents on the need to support the Governor for re-election come February. 

 Maigari appealed to the general public to engage  in violence free campaigns and elections in the state
