2023: PDP constitutes 31 electioneering committees in Bauchi

The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State has constituted 31 committees for the State Assembly election in the state.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the committees, Governor Bala Mohammed said the committees are saddled with the job of soliciting and canvassing for support of the people of the grassroots ahead of the forthcoming general election.
Governor Mohammed explained that the committees would be saddled with the responsibility of going to every nook and cranny, every polling units across the 20 LGAs to solicit for votes for the PDP.
“I’m very confident and optimistic that our party will become victorious after the general election in 2023 in the State and the country at large,” he said.
Also speaking, the PDP chairman, Hamza Koshi Akuyam said that the party sat with stakeholders at various levels to strategize and kick start the preparation of electioneering campaigns in the state.
Akuyam expressed optimism that the party would retain power in Bauchi, and equally sweep all other elective seats across the country.
He said that the 31 committees were expected to go to every nook and cranny, all wards to appeal for support from the people for overall victory of the party.
The PDP Chairman further said that the party had carefully scrutinised membership of the committees to ensure that only those who possessed the merited qualities in their various constituencies, including winners and losers of the last primary elections across the state were selected.
He stated that as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is going on scientific voting in the general elections, the PDP as a party in Bauchi will also adopt scientific method of campaigning in the state.
In his remark, the Deputy Director of the PDP campaign organisation, Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki, explained that that the party had inaugurated the committees to commence consultations with the electorate in each of the 31 state constituencies of the State Assembly.
Zaki said that the party divided the consultations into three categories, the State Assembly, House of Representatives, and the Senate – Governorship, and Presidency respectively.
He disclosed that the committees were given three weeks to submit the reports of their assignments to the party for necessary actions, saying he is 100 percent sure that PDP will win all its electives positions in the general elections
