Panic as explosion rocks Jalingo, baby injured

There was panic among residents of Jalingo, the
capital of Taraba State as an explosive device suspected to be a bomb exploded behind a local pub on Sunday.
Channels TV reports that the incident reportedly occurred at about 9:35 pm close to First Roundabout to Taraba State University.
The explosion damaged shops and residential buildings and injured a child of about four years old, eye witnesses said.
The child , according to report, was at the shop sleeping when a wall collapsed but fortunately she survived and is receiving medical attention at a hospital.
No life was lost in the incident at the time of report.
The police have cordoned off the area to carry investigation and protect residents.
The incident is the fourth explosions that have rocked Taraba State in 2022.
