Road to 2023: Gov Bala dumps Tela, picks Jatau as running mate

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has picked current Member representing Zaki federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Auwal Jatau as running mate for the 2023 governorship election in the state.

Jatau announced his selection to journalists in Bauchi on Sunday, expressing his gratitude to Governor Mohammed for finding him worthy to be his running mate in the forthcoming election.

The former Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, promised to reciprocate the honour by being a loyal and supportive running mate for the success of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led administration for the implementation of the peoples-oriented projects.

“I want to use this medium to express my profound appreciation to His Excellency, the incumbent Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for finding me worthy to be his running mate in the 2023 governorship election in Bauchi State,” Jatau said.

“This is a great honor to me and I want to assure the Governor that I will justify the confidence reposed in me.

“No Government in the history of Bauchi State that has performed well like what the Kauran Bauchi is doing to us now, all of us are surprised with the performances of our Governor in the delivery of devidends of democracy to the entire people of the state and we must appreciate His Excellency for making us proud.

“Our 2023 campaign would be based on what we have achieved so far and things that we can do in our second term, and by God’s grace the achievements recorded by the Governor would be the key to our collective victory in the outcome of the governorship election”

Jatau assured the people of the state that the performance of Governor Mohammed in his second term would surpassed than that of his first tenure in the area of execution of projects and urged them to rally round the administration for better service delivery.
