Police arrest 59 year old man in Bauchi for allegedly raping one year girl

A 59 year old man has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police command for allegedly raping a one-and a half year old girl.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Superintendent of Police Ahmed Mohammed Wakil in a press statement.

Wakil said the mother of the victim, Nenkat Danladi,31, reported to the Yelwan police division on August 9, 2022 09/08/2022 at about 7:00 pm.

The mother complained that that on August 6,2022, at about /08/2022 at about 1130 am, she met her neighbour, Alhamdu Yusuf, 59 in the bed with her daughter Blessing (not real name) aged 1½yrs of the same address.

“After about 30 minute the nominal complainant discovered that the private part of her daughter is oozing blood,” the PPRO said.

“On the recipe of the complaint a team DCB personnel led by DPO Yelwa rushed the victim to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi for medical examination.

“The suspect was arrested and an investigation commence in earnest
