Gunmen kill lecturer in Adamawa as helpless wife watches.

It is sorrow and tears as
Yohanna Bzegu, a lecturer with the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, was shot dead by gunmen in the wee hours of Thursday.
The deceased was with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola.
Bzegu was shot in his residence, at Bajabure, behind Anglican Junior Seminary, a satellite town on the outskirts of Yola, the State capital.
Nigeriacorrespondents learned that the assailants shot him on the chest and his wife watched helplessly when they (assailants) broke into the house.
According to reports, the attackers gained entrance into his house around 3am.
The gunmen reportedly fired shots through the window before breaking ithe door and shot him in the chest until they confirmed he was dead.”
Police Public Relations Officer for Adamawa State, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident.
Nguroje said that Sikiru Akande, the commissioner of Police, directed for immediate investigation with a view to apprehending the culprits.
He gave the order when he visited the residence of the deceased.
