Governor Bala Mohammad fires Commissioner for Internal Security.and Home Affairs

Governor  Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet. In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.

The statement was made available to newsmen early hours of Monday signed by Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser , Media and Publicity to the Governor.

According to the adviser, “The decision re-emphasizes the Government’s resolve to periodically effect changes in order to continuously inject fresher ideas  to strengthen governance, reposition the cabinet for improved service delivery, and ensure the effective implementation of Government policies and programmes across the state”.

The statement added that, “Governor Mohammed expresses his deep appreciation to Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima for the services rendered to Bauchi State and wishes him well in his future endeavours. He further reassures the people of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security, and good governance.

A replacement will be announced in due course”.

Reacting, those who spoke with Metoric Post on the situation commented the governor for sacking the commissioner saying he was underperforming in the ministry he managed and where he left before moving to internal security ministry.
