The Bauchi State Government has announced the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the state on  Saturday, December 20 2025, on a condolence visit following the passing of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

In a press statement signed by Muktar Gidado, in view of the significance of the visit, the State Government appealed to residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and conduct themselves peacefully throughout the period of the President’s stay in the state.

The Government also urged the public to cooperate fully with security agencies deployed across Bauchi State to ensure a smooth, orderly, and hitch-free presidential engagement.

“Members of the public are hereby informed that some major routes leading to the Sheikh’s mosque and other strategic locations will be temporarily closed or diverted between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm for security and traffic management purposes,” it stated.

“Residents are therefore advised to plan their movements accordingly, adhere strictly to traffic regulations, comply with security directives, and avoid restricted areas within the stipulated period.

“The Bauchi State Government regrets any inconvenience the temporary traffic measures may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of residents.

“The Government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace, public order, and security while honoring the enduring legacy of the late Islamic scholar, whose life, teachings, and spiritual guidance profoundly impacted Bauchi State, Nigeria, and the Muslim Ummah at large”
