Bauchi Police Arrest 9 Suspects Over Armed Robbery, Recover Firearm – CP Sani – Omolori Aliyu

he Bauchi State Police Command has arrested nine suspects in connection with a violent armed robbery that took place in the early hours of Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the residence of one Abdulkadir Garba, 35, who resides behind the Federal Secretariat, Bauchi.
Disclosing this during a press briefing at his office, the Commissioner of Police, CP Omolori Aliyu, said the suspects were arrested following swift action by detectives from B’ Division led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Holman Simon.
According to the report lodged by the victim, around 2:00 a.m., a gang of four armed men invaded his residence, brandishing dangerous weapons. They dispossessed him of several valuables, including:
A Samsung S23 smartphone valued at ₦1.2 million,
An iPhone 14 Pro Max valued at ₦1.4 million,
A Tecno Android phone valued at ₦380,000,
An HP Specter 360 laptop valued at ₦1.2 million.
The robbers further coerced him into transferring the sum of ₦3.3 million into their Moniepoint bank account.
CP Aliyu disclosed that following preliminary investigations, police operatives apprehended the following suspects:
1. Isma’il Garba, 21, Nasarawa Jahun, Bauchi
2. Muhammed Adamu, 20, Fadaman Mada, Bauchi
3. Khalifa Dauda, 26, Gwandara Keffi, Nasarawa State
4. Bisalla Adamu, 20, Gwandara Keffi, Nasarawa State
5. Yusuf Aliyu, 20, Unguwan Hausawa, Masaka, Nasarawa State
6. Abdulrahman Abubakar, 21, Masaka, Nasarawa State
7. Ahmed Ibrahim, 18, Kofar Gombe, Bauchi
8. Isma’il Iliyasu, 19, Makama New Extension, Bauchi
9. Saifullah Muhammad, 25, Kandahar, Bauchi
The Commissioner revealed that during the investigation, one Macrov pistol with fifteen (15) rounds of 9mm live ammunition was recovered from the suspects.
He assured residents of Bauchi that the command remains committed to combating crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property, stressing that the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
