Governor Bala Mohammed Decries Poor Facilities at Bagel PHC, Orders Urgent Overhaul

By Mubarak Aliyu Kobi
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, paid an unscheduled visit to the Bagel Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Dass Local Government Area, where he expressed deep concern over the facility’s poor condition.
The Governor was visibly displeased upon discovering the absence of basic amenities, including electricity, which hampers the effective delivery of healthcare services at the center.
“This is unacceptable. Our people deserve better,” he said, noting that the condition of the PHC fell short of the state’s healthcare improvement goals.
Without delay, Governor Bala issued a directive to the Executive Chairman of Dass Local Government and the Executive Chairman of the State Primary Healthcare Board to immediately address the lapses and commence necessary upgrades.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the state, stressing that no community should be left behind in accessing quality health services.
The governor’s visit underscores his administration’s hands-on approach to governance and its dedication to improving the wellbeing of citizens at the grassroots.
