Yobe State Approved N40 Billion For Development Projects

The Yobe State Executive Council has approved over N40 billion for critical development projects spanning infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment.
The approvals were ratified during a state council meeting chaired by Governor Mai Mala Buni, represented by Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana, on Wednesday at government house, Damaturu.
Briefing journalists on the outcome of the meeting, Hon. Abdullahi Bego, Yobe state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Culture and Information, emphasized that, the approval is to impact on economic growth and public welfare.
He said, the council approved N1.77bn to establish the office complexes for five government agencies with additional-N962m for Yobe Investment Company’s office.
According to PEOPLE ‘S DAILY the Commissioner said, N9.8bn was allocated for additional money for new modern markets in Machina, and to complete the Geidam, and Potiskum markets.
