Gombe PDP Youths Task Atiku On Party Unity

By Najib Sani, Gombe
A political group in Gombe State known as ‘Concerned PDP Youth of Gombe State’ has urged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to play an elderly role to unify members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Chairman of the group, Jamilu Adamu Danjarida, made the call while addressing a press conference where he pointed out that Atiku is now an elder in the party and should mentor the young generation politicians.
“Nigeria needs leaders who are not only experienced but also possess the energy and vision to tackle the complex challenges facing our nation in the 21st century,” he opined.
The group called for a generational shift in the party to pave the way for younger leaders to emerge and take charge.
“Internal conflict will not only weaken the party to effectively challenge the government but also erode public trust and confidence in the PDP’s capacity to govern”, he said.
