Bauchi: Commissioner Inspects Work On Gwallameji – Doka – Rafin Zurfi Road

…Assures of timely Completion

Bauchi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Saul Ketkukah on Monday expressed satisfaction with ongoing construction of Gwallameji, Doka and Rafin Zurfi roads in the state capital.
Ketkukah made this known while carrying out an inspection visit to the sites of the road construction.
He was satisfied that all the road constructions projects were progressing as scheduled and expected to be completed within the time frame.
He further said that the roads when completed, would improve the communities and students of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi to have easy movement.
The commissioner commended the efforts of the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed for the contract in other to construct quality road to the people of the affected communities.
He urged all constructors to make sure that they finish all the roads within the time frame so that the communities should continue to develop.
He also advised them to be pouring water on the road surface two or three times a week during the construction, so that dust will not affect movement of people and their business, particularly shops that are close to the road side.
The commissioner also inspected the ongoing construction of the 4.8km Birshi Gandu and 4km Zango-Gwallagan Mayaka roads.
He said that the construction of the two road would make it easy for people to convey farm produce to market for sale.
Speaking during the inspection, the representative of the Habibu Nigeria Limited, Engr. Zurfiqar Khan assured the commissioner that they would complete the projects within the time frame.
Alhaji Hassan Ibrahim, who is the Sarkin Yamman Galadiman Bauchi expressed his appreciation to the governor for initiating the road construction projects.
Ibrahim said that Governor Mohammed would complete the road because that is exactly what they needed
