The Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, Gombe State, is on the verge of unlocking a new era of industrial growth in northern Nigeria. With the near-completion of the park’s electricity substation and the successful erection of key infrastructure such as the 132KV Bay Extensions Gantry Towers, Gombe State is making a powerful statement: it’s ready to become a leading hub for industry, investment, and job creation.

For too long, Nigerian businesses have been hindered by the country’s inconsistent power supply.

Located in Dadin Kowa, the 1,000-hectare park is strategically positioned near the Dadin Kowa Dam and the 40 Megawatt hydroelectricplant to ensure a reliable power supply for industrial activities.

Governor Yahaya has implementedstrategies like tax breaks, streamlined bureaucratic processes, and investor engagement to attract both local and foreign investments.The park aligns with Nigeria’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), emphasizingindustrialization and economic diversification.

From manufacturing to agro-processing, the lack of reliable electricity has been a major barrier to growth, productivity, and competitiveness. The Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park is set to change that narrative.

The near-completion of the substation, which will ensure a stable and independent power supply, is a milestone not just for Gombe, but for the entire northeast region. It represents the breaking down of one of the most significant hurdles to industrialization.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s vision for the park has been clear from the start: to create a thriving industrial zone that attracts both local and foreign investment, spurs economic growth, and provides meaningful employment opportunities for the people of Gombe State.
