Police Arrest 4 Suspect Over. Alleged Murder of Security Guard in Bauchi.

The Nigeria Police ,Bauchí State command has arrested four suspects over alleged killing of a 20-year-old security guard.
The was revealed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer Ahmed Wakili in a statement on Sunday.

Wakili, a Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) said the victim Polmi Dauda sustained serious injuries after a brawl with some people at Larema Hotel Bauchí
“On March 22, 2025, at about 12:50 pm, the victim’s brother, Mr Danda Dauda, reported the unfortunate incident to the Bauchi Metro Area Command.
“The case was subsequently referred to the E Divisional Police Headquarters, Yelwa for a thorough investigation.
“Mr Dauda reported that Polmi had sustained serious injuries due to an altercation with several individuals at a location adjacent to Larema Hotel, where he worked.
“Despite the swift response of medical personnel at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Polmi was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the facility.”
The PPRO disclosed that preliminary investigations suggested that the altercation may have stemmed from an allegation of theft involving clothing and personal items belonging to a tenant.
Wakili said the suspects identified are Ibrahim Yahaya, a Pharmacist at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi (ATBUTH); Musa Awwal, a Medical Doctor at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi;(ATBUTH), Imrana Ibrahim, a local businessman; and Zakariya’u Isah, believed to have conspired to confront Polmi.
“In light of this incident, the Police have taken the suspects into custody and are providing critical information to assist in the ongoing investigation. The deceased’s body has been deposited postmortem examination at the ATBUTH mortuary,” he added.
The Commissioner of Police has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to comprehensively analyse the case, ensuring that all aspects are thoroughly examined.
The Commissioner urges the public to remain calm and uphold lawful conduct during this investigative process, Wakil added.
