35 Percent Affirmative Action: NAWOJ Partners NILOWV in Bauchi To Champion Advocacy

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Bauchi State chapter is to collaborate with Nigeria League of Women Voters (NILOWV) to champion advocacy campaigns on the 74 Special Seats Bill in Parliament and 35 present affirmative action.
This was disclosed by Mrs Rashida Yusuf, NAWOJ chairperson at a recent meeting between NAWOJ and NILOMV in Bauchi on Monday to champion grassroot advocacy in the common interest of Bauchi women.
Yusuf explained that the mandate of the association was to advocate and amplify the voices of women in all sectors including governance and leadership.
According to her, the theme of the partnership is tagged: Collaboration with League of Women Voters of Nigeria (NILOWV) on Ward to Ward: Her Seat in Parliament and Governance Campaign
Earlier,Mrs Zainab Mohammed, Chairperson,NILOWV in Bauchi said the meetings were imperative to familiarise with leadership of NAWOJ and commenced planning.
Mohammed said community engagement would be prioritised to promote women participation and inclusion in governance.
