Bauchi Governor Appoints Shira As Managing Director of BRC

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has appointed Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC), effective immediately.

Shira, is a seasoned media professional with a proven track record in media management and broadcasting.

The new MD is expected to reposition BRC for greater efficiency, professionalism, and public service excellence. 

In a press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed expressed confidence in Shira’s leadership capabilities, vast experience, and dedication to the media and communications sector.

The Governor believes Shira will leverage his experience to enhance the corporation’s role as a credible source of information, education, and entertainment for the people of Bauchi State and beyond.

The Bauchi State Government has urged all staff and stakeholders of Bauchi Radio Corporation to support the new Managing Director in his mandate to improve the station’s operations and service delivery
