AIG Owohunwa Decorates Six Newly Promoted Officers

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 Bauchi, AIG Idowu Owohunwa, has praised the bravery of police officers and men in the bid to maintain law and order in the country.
This was contained in a press release signed and issued by CSP Thomas Goni, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi, made available to journalists in Bauchi.
According to the release, AIG Owohunwa made the commendation while decorating six newly promoted senior officers in zone 12 Bauchi.
AIG Owohunwa used the occasion to urge citizens to appreciate the sacrifices being made by officers and men and to always support the police to address crimes and criminality in the society
He said the ceremony marked a significant milestone in the careers of promoted officers adding that it was a reward for dedicated and hardworking individuals.
“Their promotions are a testament to their unwavering commitment to serving and protecting our communities,” he said
“As we gather here today, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our police officers.

“Their selflessness, bravery, and dedication to duty are the embodiment of the values that our police force strives to uphold”
While congratulating the newly promoted and decorated officers, the AIG urged them to see their elevation as not only a recognition of their past achievements but also a call to continue serving with distinction and honor.
“Remember that with greater rank comes greater responsibility, and I have every confidence that you will rise to the challenge,” he said
“As we celebrate this achievement, let us also recognize the importance of teamwork and camaraderie.

The highlight of the ceremony was a presentation of souvenir to the out going Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Superintendent of P police (CSP)Obande Yakubu who spoke on behalf of the newly promotees said, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the Inspector general of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetoku for the promotion
“We are deeply thankful for the trust placed on us, and we acknowledge the significance of this honor,” CSP Yakubu said.
“It is testament of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to serving the Nation and upholding the value of our esteemed institution,” he said
CSP Yakubu also extended their sincere appreciation to AIG Idowu Owohunwa for his guidance and support.
