Tinubu Condoles with Radda Over Passing of Amb. Zakari, Kurfi

President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the government and people of Katsina State over the death of the two prominent figures in the State.
President Tinubu extended his condolences through the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima who visited the residences of the late Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, former National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Director-General, and the late Alhaji Ahmadu Kurfi, the District head of Kurfi and first Executive Secretary of Federal Election Commission, FEDECO.
At the palace of the late Maradin Katsina, the Vice President delegation was received by former Minister of Agriculture Dr. Samaila Mamman Kurfi; NNDC Chairman and Ajiyan Katsina Dr. Lamis Shehu Dikko, former Minister of State for Education Lawal Batagarawa, and family members.
Speaking during the visit, Shettima eulogised Kurfi as one of Nigeria’s distinguished elder statesmen, noting that his passing represents a significant loss not only to his immediate family but to the nation at large.
In a similar vein, the Vice President proceeded to the residence of the late Ambassador Ibrahim, where he was received by the eldest son of the deceased, Malam Ibrahim Zakari Ibrahim; former Chairman of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Rufai and Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sarika.
On behalf of President Tinubu, Shettima extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, and people of Katsina State, while praying for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased and strength for the families to bear their losses.
Speaking to journalists after bidding farewell to the Vice President , Governor Radda expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the condolence visit over the passing of the two prominent figures who served the nation during their lifetime.
Radda equally observed that the visit exemplified the concern of the Federal Government over the loss of the personalities.
The Vice President delegation include APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Minister of Transport Senator Sa’idu Alkali, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Abubakar Kyari, former FCT Minister Dr. Aliyu Modibbo, and other dignitaries.
In Katsina, prominent dignitaries who joined the condolence train include former Governor of Katsina State, Barr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema; Senator Abu Ibrahim; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Jabiru Tsauri; Member Representing Kurfi/Dutsinma Federal Constituency, Hon. Aminu Balele Dan Arewa; Katsina APC Deputy Chairman, Bala Musawa among other state and party officials.
