Bauchi Wins 2024 NEDC Secondary Schools Football Tournament

Bauchi State has beaten Gombe State 2-1 in the final football  match to win the North East Development Commission, NEDC, Secondary Schools Sport Tournament in Bauchi.

The tournament, which held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium saw the first goal in the match  from the Bauchi Team at 5:12 pm and second goal at 5:54 pm. While the Gombe Team got a penalty foil at 5:35 pm and equalise one goal. 

At the end of the full time Team Bauchi defeated Team Gombe with two goals against one and emerged the winner of the football event. 

Our correspondent reports that the  competition started on Tuesday November 11 and witnessed a series of events comprising football, basketball, long tennis, table tennis and athletics with contingents from the six states across the North East.
