Chidinma Adetsina, the lady at the heart of the controversy that recently plagued the Miss South African Beauty Pageant has won Miss Universe Nigeria.

By winning the pageant, Chindinma also won N10 million and will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in November.

Chidinma Adetsina won the Miss Universe Nigeria Beauty Pageant at the finale which held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday August 31, 2024. She beat 24 other contestants to win the beauty pageant.

Recall that following the recent uproar surrounding the Miss South Africa pageant, the Nigerian-South African Chidinma, who is known for her resilience and striking presence, joined the contest late, after withdrawing from the Miss South African competition over xenophobic attacks.

Chidimma, a Nigerian-South African model, faced backlash from South Africans after making it to the top 16 at the Miss South Africa pageant. Consequently, she withdrew from the competition.

Following her withdrawal, she was invited by the Miss Universe Nigeria organisation to participate at the 2024 Miss Universe Nigeria pageant competition which she accepted.

Chidinma Adetsina represented Taraba State at the contest.
