….as ruling clan, traditional council pay thank-you visit to gov

By Bashir Hassan Abubakar

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed his appreciation to the State traditional institutions for supporting his Government’s policies and programs.

The Governor also said that such support from the traditional rulers further reinforces Government resolve to further redouble effort towards provision of solid infrastructures and social services to the people of the State.

Governor Mohammed stated this on Monday 15th April, 2024 when the ruling clan of Banu Yakubu and the Bauchi Emirate Council both paid him a thank-you visit at the Government House.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation of Banu Yakubu Ruling House, Khadi Ibrahim Marafa said that the objective of their visit was to identify with the Governor and also register their appreciation of the infrastructural development across the State which, according to him, would open up the State for economic prosperity and wealth creation.

The clan of Banu Yakubu, which is the traditional ruling house of Bauchi Emirate, further described, as unprecedented, the infrastructural development that the State is witnessing.

In a related development, Bauchi Emirate Council has also showered its appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed for naming the newly constructed grand square within the Government House after Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu.

Speaking on behalf of the Emirate Council members at the newly banquet hall of Bauchi Government House, Galadiman Bauchi, Surveyor Sa’idu Ibrahim Jahun said the honour in naming the square after the Emir of Bauchi was a departure from the tradition of immortalising personalities after their deaths.

The Emirate Council also lauds the Governor for his passion in bringing development to the state and carrying the traditional institutions along in the implementation of people oriented projects across.

At the end of the duel visits prayers were offered for peace, prosperity and sustainable development for Bauchi State and the Nation at large
