Muslims to commence Ramadan fasting on Monday

The Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria, Alh Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has confirmed Monday, 11th of March, 2023 (tomorrow) first day of the month of Ramadan in Nigeria.
The President General, the Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs stated this in a broadcast at his palace in Sokoto on Sunday evening.
According to a post on the official account of the National Moonsighting Committee of Nigeria, “The Sultanate has confirmed a single sighting claim and His Eminence the Sultan will soon make an announcement. Ramadan Mubarak.”
