Bauchi: N9.9 billion Dindinma-Yashi Mainamaji Road Rehabilitation Will Boost Tourism, Oil & Gas – Mohammed

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has given insight into the huge benefits of rehabilitating the Dindinma-Yashi-Mainamaji road project that will gulped N9.9 billion

Mohammed disclosed this on Friday, while flagging off the Dindinma-Yashi-Mainamaji road construction that cut across Bauchi and Alkaleri Local Government Areas of the state

 “This particular road project is unique in the sense that it leads to the famous Yankari Games Reserve,” he disclosed

The Governor leads dignitaries for the rehabilitation of Dindinma-Yashi Mainamaji road

“In spite of its strategic importance however, the road had suffered neglect over the years resulting in its dilapidation

“There is therefore the need to rehabilitee the road for ease of not only tourists going to Yankari Game Reserve but to connect people across the local governments”

The governor hoped the road when rehabilitated would enable movement and attract more tourists and improve revenue generation.

“It is also hoped that it will lead to upscale in economic activities across the road and create opportunities for job, especially since it is leading into the most auspicious oil and gas area  of Bauchi state and  northern Nigeria,” he said.

Mohammed gives a hint of the benefits of rehabilitation of Dindinma-Yashi Mainamaji road

“Contract for rehabilitation of the Dindinma-Yashi Mainamaji road is awarded to Messrs Triacta Nigeria Limited at the cost of N9 billion.

“The project is expected to be completed within 18 dry months and will have all the necessary qualities that will last for the next 50 years”

The governor called on the ministry of works to make sure they provide the necessary supervision in terms of monitoring and evaluation to procure it well.

He urged Triacta to maintain its reputation as one of the best companies that states are scrambling to get by doing a quality work
