Katsina: Governor Radda Restates Commitment to Developing Education

Governor Umaru Dikko Radda of Katsina State has reinstated the commitment of his administration to developing the education sector.

Radda gave the commitment on the occasion of the International Day of Education set aside by the United Nations General Assembly every January 24.

Metoric Post reports that this global celebration recognizes the pivotal role of education in fostering peace and development.

Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor in a press statement, explained that the administration places high premium on education.

It emphasizes the significant strides made by the Katsina state government in education, and the state’s commitment to providing quality learning opportunities for its residents, the statement disclosed.

“Education is our topmost priority; it is the cornerstone of progress in Katsina,” Mohammed quoted Governor Radda as saying.

Under Governor Radda’s leadership, the state has witnessed substantial achievements in the education sector, including Establishing Model Schools, he disclosed.

“The administration has dedicated efforts to build model schools, specifically catering to bright but economically disadvantaged students,” he said

Other achievements are extensive rehabilitation initiatives across schools in the state to ensure conducive learning environments, capacity building of teachers, massive teachers recruitment, reviving scholarship programmes, Foreign Post-Graduate Studies.

“Governor Radda ensures that children in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps have the opportunity to return to school through fostering inclusivity and access to education for all,” he said.

“On this International Day of Education, Katsina State proudly joins the global community in celebrating the transformative power of education,” he quoted the governor in a message to celebrate the day

Governor Radda reaffirms the state’s unwavering dedication to nurturing a well-educated and empowered society, the release concluded.
