Ivory Coast On The Brink  of Exit From AFCON 

EditorHost Ivory Coast have crashed out of the African Nations Cup after being beaten 4-0 by Equatorial Guinea. 

They were left in 3rd position in Group A while Guinea Bisau came last without earning a single point The dominant Equatorial Guinea, which drew 1-1 with  the Super Eagles of. Nigeria in their first match, were no match for the Host thereby topping the group with 7 points with second  place Nigeria with 7 points but with goal difference advantage 
The Ivorians got to a promising half after beating Guinea Bisau in only to succumb to Nigeria via a penalty which injured captain Ekong netted home.

 Ivory Coast will have to rely on other results to avoid a shock Africa Cup of Nations group-stage exit after Equatorial Guinea thrashed the Elephants in a huge upset in Abidjan.
