Football Will Reduce Hardship In Nigeria – Num Football Academy Owner

The founder of Num Soccer School Nigeria Limited, Babangida Thomas Num , has said that involvement of youth in football will bring development and reduce  the current hardship in the country.

Num gave the view during an interview with Metoric Post at his residence in Bauchi.

He disclosed  that his football academic has sponsored no fewer 50 young Nigerians to foreign countries in order to improve their footballing career.

Some of the players sent to foreign countries to ply their grade included Chinedu, Alex Chigozie, Agu Ukaiwo, Abdufatah, Govinda, Anthony Peter, Tobi Adedeji, Joel, Adamu, Mustapha, Theophilus and Daniel.

Others are Yusuf, Victor,  Marvelous , Emmanuel Onu, Onyebuchi Paul, Opeyemi, Oscar, Joshua, Zaidu, Sunday, Terlumun, Abdullahi, Jude, Duke and Emeka.

Also sent are Ade, Christian, Yemi, Tolani, Stanley, Salisu, Sadiq, Alkhateeb, Abdul Malik, Tunde, Ibrahim and others.

He said that sending young Nigerians abroad  was to improve their football career and  make them become self reliant.

Num who played for Wikki Tourists, Nasarawa United and clubs outside the country, said that, many people have benefited from him because if playing football.

He added that he also has been providing materials to schools 0in his zone.

“I picked interest in sending amateur footballers outside Nigeria because of the hardship in the country,” he said.

“If they improve their football career, they will come back to their various communities and assist people like some ex professional players are doing.”

He cited that Diara of France through football, built the biggest hospital in the whole world in order for his country people to benefit.

“Sadio Mane’ of Senegal has carried  out massive development in his country Senegal by transforming his into a city, and other players.,” he said.

He further said that Christina Ronaldo of Al-Nassr football club, Lionel Messi of inter Miami and other professional footballers are helping their countries tremendously because of football.

He advised people not to only focus on education but to consider some areas like football that will bring massive development in a short period of time.

Num called on Nigerians  to invest in football to see how the country will be developed and people will get enough food on their tables. 

He urged individuals and government to support football business in order for the country to eliminate poverty
