Mohbad’s father set to drop tribute song for late singer
Our Editor
Mr Joseph Aloba, the late Nigerian musician Mohbad’s father, plans to release an album in homage to his son.
Mohbad, a former Marlian Records signee, died on September 12 and was laid to rest the next day in Ikorodu amid heartbreaking scenes of sadness from family, friends, and supporters.
But on September 21, the police exhumed Mohbad’s corpse for autopsy and are awaiting the results.
This was due to the controversy surrounding his death.
In a now-viral flier, Aloba said the album titled ‘Itunu’ is a tribute to the late singer.
Earlier this month, Aloba was spotted recording a song in the studio.
In the video, he could be seen singing passionately and advising people to be wary of their actions.
Aloba has been in the news since the passing of Mohbad, his second child.
Last month, there were calls from several Nigerians asking for the release of Mohbad’s body for burial.
Aloba, however, warned that nobody should collect his son’s body for burial without his approval.
