Kaduna: Sheikh Bauchi calls for probe of  bombing that killed several Muslims

Leader of Tijjaniyyah, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has pleaded with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to thoroughly probe the bombing at Tundun Biri in Kaduna State on Sunday while faithful were celebrating  Eid -Maulud.
The renowned cleric also urged the President to ensure payment of compensation to families of Muslims ummah killed by Nigerian Army’s ‘accidental’
Dahiru Bauchi made the call on Tuesday while speaking with journalists in Bauchi.
“We want the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stand firm to ensure justice for the affected people killed while celebrating Maulud, and punish the officers that carried out this dastardly act to prevent future occurrences, ” he said.
He urged Government to uphold the principles of protecting the dignity , fundamental human rights of citizens to live, to practice their religion without hindrance and to uphold human rights and international humanitarian law.
He commiserated with the families of the deceased and the entire muslims community in the world and in Africa and prayed to God to forgive them and grant them eternal rest.
 “We are pained how people on air drop bomb on innocent people whose fault is it? Is it the fault of the government or who?”, he queried.
‘”The essence of government is to protect lives and property, but not to play with people lives.
“We urged a thorough probe into the tragedy that killed scores of innocent persons”.
“We have started discussion with the Federal Government through the National Security adviser and he pledged that it would  be investigated and justice would be done o the victims.
 Dahiru Bauchi said conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the unintentional bombing was critical to averting future occurrence.
He argued that the circumstances that led to the tragedy should be analysed as innocent muslims were killed in the past while on their way back home by hoodlums in Jos.
He stated the recent one “they just drop accidental bomb that killed many, we will not agree to that”
