Senator Goje Assists Victims of Flood in Gombe

Senator representing Gombe central Danjuma Goje has assisted the victims of recent flood in Dadin Kowa town of Gombe State with relief items and money.
Our correspondent reports that the flood which occurred as a result of a heavy downpour two weeks ago, destroyed many houses and farmlands in the area.
The senator while presenting the relief items which included; 100 bags of rice, 100 pieces of mats, 100 pieces of blankets, 100 rolls of wrappers, 100 rolls of cotton material (Shadda) and a cash of N500, 000 at the residence of the ward head of Tinga, explained that he was devastated by the incident.
Represented by his aide, Danjuma Babayo, the senator said he was there to commiserate with the victims and bring his assistance in form of relief items and money.
He said the assistance was part of his humanitarian services aimed at ameliorating their sufferings.
He urged the victims to accept the incident in good faith while praying God to enable them recover their losses in good time.
