The coalition of Quranic desciples known as (Almajiri) has called on President Bola Tinubu to as a matter of necessity, honour the Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, and former Governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda, for their exemplary support for Quranic recitation and memorisation.

Sheikh Sayyadi Dahiru Bauchi who spoke of the coalition which consists of both memorisers and reciters from the 36 states in Nigeria and Africa, advised President Tinubu to nominate Yuguda as a Central Bank Governor or a Minister.

The Coalition also urged the President to appoint Mai Mala Buni in any position that will serve the interest of common man.

The scholar, who is the Director of Education under the auspicies of Sheikh Dahiru Usmsn Bauchi Foundation Sheikh Sayyadi Aliyu Sise Dahiru Bauchi made the call in Bauchi when he interacted with journalists,

He said went round the country and beyond to meet with many Qur’anic memorisers and reciters and they recognised Yuguda as the best among both former and present Governors that has a high regard and respect for Almajiri pupils.

“We support Yuguda, because he supported us, he carried us along, he honoured the learners and teachers of the book of Allah Holy Qur’an, when People are showing stigmatisation to Almajiri,” he stated.

“Yuguda embraced us and we also embrace him and that is why we are appealing to President Tinubu to do the right thing at a right time and appoint Yuguda as Central bank Governor or a Minister for the success of his administration,” he said.

He said as governor of Bauchi State, Yuguda earmarked and released N55 million monthly and about 20 cars to take care of Almajiri, both their teachers and pupils.

Sayyadi said considering Yuguda political weight and popularity, coupled with the significant role he played in the 2023 general election to ensure that Tinubu got the required percentage in Bauchi state and other states in the North-east sub-region, he is qualified to get the position.

He said that as a former Minister of Transportation and Aviation, and two-term governor, Yuguda has what it takes to be the representative of the people of the state and Nigeria

“The choice of Yuguda by Almajirai is due to the fact that he has transformed the lives of many citizens of Bauchi State when he was the state governor without discrimination,” Sayyadi said

He also expressed the gratitude of Quranic reciters, learners and memorisers to the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni who once requested that all Almajiri Quranic pupils and their teachers return to his State and went personally to the House of Sheikh Dahiru to commiserate with him.

Sayyadi advised President Tinubu to be wary of anti-people politicians like elRufai instead he should honour real democrats who support the Almajiri education like Yuguda and Governor mai Mala Buni.

. “We also wish to state that if the president wants to succeed he should honour the person that honour the book of Allah”

He berated former Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir Elrufa’i for his alleged hatred, bad treatment mated against Almajiri who were Qur”anic learners, reciters and memorisers throughout his tenure as a Governor.

Sayyadi advised President Tinubu to be wary of elrufa’i and his likes and avoid getting close to them so as to avoid their ill advices in the interest of justice, fairness, peace unity and Progress of the country.

He alleged that as governor El-Rufai deliberately incited the people of Kaduna State, Nigeria and Muslims the world when he went to a peaceful and most respected reknown Islamic Scholar Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi and evacuated hundreds of Qur’anic pupils, and teargased them
