Dogara’s ally donates N1 million, relief materials to victims of Bogoro crisis

A politician, Honorable Bulus Iliya, has distributed relief materials to victims of the crisis in Sang community of Bogoro local government area.
A 70 year old man was killed while over 64 houses were destroyed in the crisis, which was caused as a result of tussle for leadership.
Iliya, also known as
Bulusiyya contested the recent election for Bauchi State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, to represent Bogoro Constituency, but lost.
His loss did not deter him as he donated N1m, 60 bags of rice, 60 bags of spaghetti, 60 pieces of mat and other valuable things to the victims of the crisis in Dang.
Iliya, while distributing the relief materials, said the gesture was to sympathise with those who lost their loved one and houses which were burnt down during the community communal crisis.
He therefore called on the good people of Sang community to live in peace and harmony with one another.
“We are brothers and sisters, so let us continue to live in peaceful coexistence for the development of our land,” he said.
Iliya said the relief materials and the cash donation was to support his boss, former Speaker of the 8th Assembly, Honorable Yakubu Dogara.
He said Dogara had contributed immensely to the development of Bogoro,Dass and Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency, pledging to continue to support him in any aspect of life for the betterment of the land.
According to Iliya without the influence of Dogara, all the relief materials would not have been complete.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Youth Leader
Mr. Appolos Sang, thanked the politician for the gesture to their community.
“l was affected by the communal crisis because my father was killed but I have forgiven those who did that,” he said.
The Youth Leader promised on behalf of the community that they would share the relief materials to the affected people accordingly without any selfish interest.
According to the leader, the community had learned from its mistake that they would not allow a such incident to happened in the community.
