Five political parties in Gombe State have endorsed the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Gombe State Retired General Nuhu Miller ahead of the March 18 governorship election in the state.

Addressing journalists Wednesday in Gombe, spokesperson of the coalition of the political parties Muhammed Mahdi-Doho, said the decision was to strengthen the opposition candidate so that he will be able to triumph in the Saturday’s election.

He also said their choice of the AA candidate was based on the integrity of Miller adding that the parties and their leadership in the state had resolved to mobilize their supporters for the AA gubernatorial candidate to ensure the defeat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The spokesperson who is also the chairman of APGA in Gombe State said that their decision was reached after extensive deliberations and consultations with relevant stakeholders of their parties.

According to him, the parties in the alliance include; African Action Congress (AAC); Allied Peoples Movement (APM); Action Peoples Party (APP); All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Accord Party (AP).

“We have scrutinized the AA gubernatorial candidate, Nuhu Miller and found him to be more reliable, competent and capable for the job amongst others.

“He has the needed integrity to drive development in the state that will help improve the wellbeing and welfare of the good people of the state.” he said.
