Defend Atiku’s Votes, Supporters Urged

BY NAJIB SANI, GOMBE
Supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have been urged to defend their votes where they cast them in the upcoming February polls.
A member of the presidential campaign council of the PDP Honourable Amina Sa’idu Pantami gave the charge yesterday during the 2023 awareness conference on votes canvassing and protection for Atiku organized by coalition of Atiku’s support groups under the aegis of ‘Arewa Decides 2023’ held at Custodian Hotel, Gombe, Gombe State.
She said they have high hopes that the former vice president will be next Nigerian president considering the present hardship she alleged the ruling party inflicted on the citizens in the last eight years.
According to her, the PDP supporters should not only cast votes but should protect Atiku’s mandate in the February election so that he can reform the nation.
“The purpose of the conference is to enlighten our people on the need for them to defend our votes at polling units. They are expected to tell other supporters to cast and protect our votes in the upcoming election”. She said.
Also speaking, the spokesperson of the Arewa Decides, Comrade Abubakar Isa Waziri explained that similar conference was conducted by the group in several northern states to inspire people to elect the PDP presidential candidate and defend his mandate.
