Breaking: Gombe PDP chieftains defect to APC

As campaign for the 2023 elections kickstarts, four chieftains of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe state have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The politicians who include Ahmed Abubakar Walama who was Dukku local government chairman for four different times and twice a Commissioner in the state, Sa’idu Kawuwa Malala who was one time local government chairman, member of the state assembly and commissioner announced their defection yesterday.
Others were a former special adviser in the state Maigari Usman Malala and a former youth leader of the PDP in Dukku local government area of the state Mohammed Ya’u.
Our correspondent reports that the new decampees have all collected their registration cards in the ruling party.
