A socio-cultural group of Tangale/Waja ethnic extraction in Gombe South known as ‘Forum of Critical Stakeholders From Gombe South’ has endorsed candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in all elections in the state in the 2023 general election.

The group’s spokesperson, Dr Lamela Silas, disclosed this yesterday in a press statement.

Silas explained that the endorsement of the PDP candidates was done at the Critical Stakeholders’ meeting which  held in Abuja.

He said the group unanimously resolved to lineup, support and elect reliable and  capable leaders in the upcoming general election in Gombe State and the country at a whole.

“The forum after a painstaking deliberation, agreed to support candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” the press statement  disclosed.

“We took our time to critically examine the political atmosphere and discussed the strategies to adopt towards ensuring that the PDP wins the coming elections given the confidence of our people in the new bride.

“The Forum comprised of sons and daughters of Tangale/Waja from all walks of life based in Abuja; Technocrat’s, Bureaucrats and Theocrats, business men and women, entrepreneurs, private individuals with strong conviction and who firmly believe in good governance and the benefits therefrom, resolved to work together to rescue the state from the APC-led government in 2023.

“We have also resolved to work for all the candidates fielded by the PDP from President down to the state assemblies”

He lamented the recent demolition of the PDP gubernatorial candidate campaign office in the state, calling on the people of the state to remain law abiding.
