The governor made it very clear that PDP would not be cowed, harassed or be silenced.
He promised that that the party had survived tougher battles, and predicted that it would emerge from its current challenge stronger, more united, and more determined.
Mohammed then cautioned presidency against giving opportunities to individuals who lack character, and commitment to the values of democracy especially those who use state power to settle internal scores.
According to him, those who believe governance is about suppressing opposition rather than serving the peoples, such individuals are not helping the country, and they are certainly not helping the PDP, instead, their actions are destroying the institutions that hold the nation together.
On his part, the new National chairman of the PDP, Tanimu Turaki appealed to international community to come and rescue Nigerian democracy against collapse from the APC led federal government.
The PDP national chairman also called on the presidency and all relevant institutions to immediately address this abuse of power, saying Nigeria’s democracy cannot thrive when political intimidation becomes the order of the day.
On the other hand, the Wike led factional PDP according to sources affirmed its readiness to challenge whatever decision the Gov Bala Mohammed’s PDP stand for, for the ongoing brohaha.
Critics opined that the deepening crisis may be capitalized by the ruling opposition party including the minor political parties in the country, while others argued the PDP is not new in the experience of having swindling crisis rocking it and fixed within the stipulated period.
