Wike,Fayose, Anyanwu Axed as PDP Moves to Restore Discipline
Paul Orude
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at its ongoing 2025 National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday announced the removal of several prominent members from its fold.
Those affected include the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Senator Samuel Anyanwu; Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); former Governor Ayo Fayose; Austin Nwachukwu; and others, following allegations of working against the party’s interests.
The decision, according to an official announcement shared on the party’s verified social media platforms (@OfficialPDPNig), was endorsed by a large majority of delegates at the convention.
The PDP said the action signals its determination to rebuild internal order and strengthen its ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement described the expulsions as a significant step toward reinforcing party discipline and unity.
