UNIJOS Opens 2025 Post-UTME/DE Online Registration, Releases Cut-Off Marks

Our Editor
The University of Jos (Unijos) has announced that registration for its 2025 Post-UTME/DE screening exercise will be conducted entirely online.
The registration window for all eligible candidates is from August 18 to September 30, 2025.
The announcement, signed by the university’s registrar, Dr. Rejoice James Songden, states that the screening is for candidates who selected Unijos as their first-choice institution in the 2025 UTME/DE and meet the specific departmental cut-off marks.
Eligibility and Registration Details
To be eligible for the screening, UTME candidates must have a minimum score of 180, though a higher cut-off mark may be required depending on the chosen course. Direct Entry (DE) candidates are also required to pay the screening fee and register online. It is mandatory for all candidates to have uploaded their O’level results to their JAMB CAPS profile before registering for the Unijos screening.
The university has outlined a two-step online registration process:
Account Creation: Candidates must visit the Unijos portal at portal.unijos.edu.ng, select the “2025 UTME/DE Screening” option, and create an account using their JAMB registration number, email, and a password.
Payment and Submission: After activating their account via an email link, candidates must log in to their dashboard to make the required payment for the screening. Upon successful payment, they can print their receipts and screening summary.
Important Advisories and Course Cut-Offs
The university has issued several key reminders:
– Only candidates who chose Unijos as their first choice will be uploaded to the portal.
– Candidates must confirm they meet the specific departmental cut-off mark before registering. Those who don’t are advised to change their course through JAMB CAPS.
– O’level results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS prior to registration.
– Admission offers on JAMB CAPS must be accepted within four weeks of their release to be reflected on the Unijos portal.
Failure to follow these instructions, including not uploading O’level results, could lead to delays or exclusion from the admission process.
The university has also released the differential cut-off marks for various faculties and courses for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Some of the highly competitive courses include:
– Medicine and Surgery: 250
– Law: 230
– Nursing Sciences: 220
– Computer Science: 220
– Mass Communication: 200
A full list of all courses and their specific cut-off marks is available on the Unijos portal.
