He is an icon who inspires generations of leaders, Bauchi Governor Pays Tribute to IBB at 94

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed  of Bauchi State has described former Military President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida  fondly called IBB as a leader who inspires generations of Nigerians with his leadership style and charisma.

Mohammed made the remark on the 84th of the former military President, felicitating with him on adding another year to his glorious years on earth.

“On behalf of my family, Government, and the good people of Bauchi State, I  extend my warmest felicitations to an elder statesman, as he graciously marks his 84th birthday anniversary today 17th August, 2025,” the governor stated in a statement signed by Muktar Gidado his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

“General Babangida remains a towering figure in Nigeria’s history , a leader, patriot, strategist, and nation-builder whose imprint on our country’s political, economic, and social trajectory remains indelible…

“ His vision, and commitments

 to national unity and development have continued to inspire generations of leaders across the nation , and as you celebrate this milestone, we celebrate not just the gift of longevity and grace upon your life, but also the wealth of wisdom, resilience, and enduring contributions you have made in shaping the destiny of our great country”

The statement added that the governor described the life of the former Military President as a testament to service, sacrifice, and statesmanship, and prayed God will continue to bless him with sound health, peace of mind, and many more fulfilling years ahead.
