Senator Buba flags off construction of 2.5 Km Road in Zaranda Town

Senator Shehu Buba Umar (Bauchi South) on Saturday flagged off the construction of a 2.5 kilometre road in Zaranda town, Toro local government area of Bauchi State.

Addressing a mammoth crowd during the flag-off ceremony in Zaranda, the senator said the project was a fulfilment of his campaign promises.

Senator Buba pledged to continue executing people-oriented projects that would touch the lives of the people in his constituency.

He said the 2.5 kilometre road in Zaranda is “a tip of the iceberg in the catalogue of programmes we intend to carry out for the entire people of Bauchi south senatorial district”

According to him, “In terms of infrastructural development, aside from the numerous welfare support programmes since my assumption of office in June 2023, it is my firm commitment to providing similar programmes”

The lawmaker disclosed that the road project was part of his constituency projects in 2024 which had been approved for execution.

He assured the benefiting community that the road would be delivered for usage within one month.

“As a candidate, trying to represent you as your senator in 2023, I pledged to relentlessly pursue meaningful and life changing projects, provide for your common good and your sustained welfare,” he said.

Senator Buba explained that the road project was an attestation of his vows on the floor of the Assembly to provide quality representation.

Recall that the senator had three weeks ago announced the construction of two roads in the area.

He stressed that it is his firm commitment to providing similar developmental strides in every part of Bauchi south senatorial distinct during the time of his effective representation

“On our part I require your usual prayer, patient and cooperation without which my intention will not be seriously achieved,” he said.
