The Nigerian Police Force has issued a declaration for David Hundeyin, Editor-in-Chief of West Africa Weekly, in connection with the prosecution of Isaac Bristol.

Bristol is accused of managing the prominent anonymous whistleblower account PIDOM Nigeria and faces serious charges including money laundering, cybercrime, and the illegal dissemination of classified documents.

Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi made the announcement on Tuesday, revealing that Hundeyin and Michael Temidayo Alade are being sought as alleged accomplices in the case.

Bristol is currently being held at Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

David Hundeyin, an award-winning journalist recognized for his investigative work on corruption and human rights abuses, is reportedly in exile to evade persecution by Nigerian authorities.

The police’s move highlights the ongoing tensions and legal complexities surrounding the case.
