Tinubu departs Abuja to Equatorial Guinea

President Bola Tinubu is set to depart from Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, following an invitation from President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, confirmed the visit details in a statement released on Tuesday.
During the visit, President Tinubu and President Mbasogo will meet at the Presidential Villa in Malabo to discuss key bilateral issues, with a significant emphasis on the oil and gas sector and regional security.
Several agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in these sectors will be signed during the discussions.
The statement also mentioned that President Tinubu will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other cabinet members.
The delegation will participate in signing agreements and reviewing opportunities to bolster bilateral relations between the two nations.
